Flatbread Pizza never tasted so good! Add Cherries, Pesto and Arugula to get this magnificent recipe. Dried rosemary gives it a wonderful aroma.
Cherries are in season most of the year, so, I am always hankering for a good cherry recipe.
This recipe is so perfect for the summer time and picnics by the beach.
The pesto and cherries make for such a wonderful combination. They complement each other with sweet and spice flavors.
I have to admit that you can do without the arugula in this recipe. Or make it as a bed of arugula right on top of the pesto.
Cherries make me very happy. They are perfect snack for when I am sitting by the computer and need something to chew on while I work.
I call cherries my “thinking food”. Whenever I am munching on them, ideas just flow in my brain. That’s how I came up with this savory flatbread pizza recipe.
It is so simple to make and you will be enjoying the pizzas in no time. Cherries added a delicious summery sweetness to the pizzas and the red onions added a nice spicy crunch to them.
This flatbread pizza, like all pizzas in the world, tasted much better the following morning. What is the science behind pizza tasting better then next day? If there are any food scientists out there, please educate me on it.
I suggest you make your very own basil pesto sauce to spread on this recipe. May I suggest this easy basil pesto recipe by Martha Stewart.
Or, you can make arugula pesto at home to use in this recipe.

I’m not a huge pizza fan, but this looks amazing. One of my biggest issues with pizza is the crust. This Flatbread version looks perfect though. I love the addition of cherries. A must try. Excellent use of your words! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you, Jules!! I hate crusts too! So, I am working on creating other crust free pizzas!
You have a talent of making unique dishes, this really is stunning and now I just have to try it 🙂
Thank you, Janette!! Coming from you, that is high praise!!!! You are definitely a very creative person and I am always sucked into your wonderful pics!!
WOW — loved everything about this from the recipe, to the use of your words to the geek experience! I am definitely a geek about health – been my passion for over 35 years and I find it hard not to walk up to people and tell them what is wrong with them and that I could help them. I have to bite my tongue every day. (Hence, I am a health coach)
Thank you, Carol!!!! Haha!! Never heard of a diagnose geek until now!!! So cool!!! I would love to meet you because the doc can’t figure out what ails me!! You would save me a lot of hassle, time and money. 🙂
Oh what a great recipe. I love the twist of Cherries and rosemary!. Great combo. Thank you for the shout out for my pesto, so much appreciated. So I guess you could call me a “Chopped” Geek! I’m going to link back your recipe in the pesto recipe.

Food, Gadgets, Trivial Pursuit and Space, all things I am passionate about – but not geeky enough, as in knowledgable. Also I am still upset about Pluto’s demotion.
Thanks for taking us on such a creative journey – oh and cherry pizza! Doesn’t that look just yummy?
PS: “build a computer from scratch” is something only a food geek would say, hahaha!
