Vegan hot chocolate is one of my biggest addictions!

My all-time favorite is Seredipity’s in New York.  It was creamy, warm, and just the right amount of sweetness

I used to love the feeling of wrapping my hands around a mug filled with hot chocolate as I lay curled up on the couch and watched the snowfall.

Tips for making this hot chocolate

  • The hard part was trying to find the right chocolate.  I ended up with (affiliate link) Ghiradelli’s Chocolate Baking Bar. It is vegan-friendly and melts easily.
  • The other option is Baker’s 100% cacao Unsweetened Chocolate Bar. The only caution with that chocolate is that it is manufactured in equipment that uses milk.
  • I prefer chocolate bars in hot chocolate, but, you can also use baking chips or cocoa powder.
  • If all else fails, go with vegan chocolate chips.
  • Go with dark chocolate because it blends well with the peppermint
  • I know the recipe calls for rose water which may not be everyone’s, ahem, cup of tea? But, I assure you that it gives this hot chocolate a very unique taste.
  • I found that Hazelnut milk is the best milk for any hot chocolate option. But, you can also use almond milk.

Recipe inspiration

Just because you are vegan and live in Florida, doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy a cup of hot cocoa!

Hot chocolate is good for the soul even when the weather is in the triple digits. That’s its power.

I am a person who has always drank hot chocolate. Since I don’t drink coffee, it is the only hot drink that I like.

So, I came up with a vegan version of it and go to it whenever my taste buds ask for it.

And, you can always make a cold hot chocolate or frozen macchiato to fight the heat.

  • Cashew milk
  • Soy milk
  • Coconut milk

If you are more of a coffee drinker, then there is a wonderful option for you. An iced gingerbread oatmilk chai latte recipe will warm you up from the inside out. It also tastes better than anything you get at your local coffee shop.
