How to make Keto, GF     Enchilada Sauce

Most enchilada sauces are made with either cornstarch or some kind of flour.  Here, I have a thick and easy Enchilada sauce that is so easy to make using wholesome ingredients.

6 steps to making it

Heat a pan stove-top

Add the avocado oil, cumin powder, onion powder and garlic powder.  Mix well

Add Tomato Sauce

Add the tomato sauce to the pan and mix well.  Set the heat to low to prevent the splattering.

Add water and paste

Mix water and tomato paste in a bowl.  Slowly, introduce this water mixture to the pan while stirring with the other hand.

Add the spices

Mix in the oregano, chili pepper (if using), cayenne pepper and salt.  Keep heat low and mix well.

Simmering the sauce

Let the sauce simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.  Stir gently.  You can cover if you are worried about splattering.

All DONE!!!

Transfer the enchilada sauce to a glass container with a tight lid.  This enchilada sauce is now ready to be used in enchiladas and other recipes.
