When life gives you lemons, make savory recipes out of it!
I know, it’s corny, but I couldn’t resist saying it!
Lemon can do delicious dessert, but did you know that you can make amazing savory lemon recipes?
Come, lets make these easy lemon recipes today!
Savory lemon recipes
1. Lemon orzo pasta
There are so many days when I am short on time and don’t want to order out. Does that happen to you too?
So, I normally have orzo on hand and then I just add 5 other simple ingredients to make this recipe. It takes me just 17 minutes to make this and it’s made in one pan!
If I have more time, then, I will add things like broccoli, tempeh or mushroom salad to it. Orzo is a very versatile ingredient, so you can add almost anything and it will taste great.
Do you like orzo?
2. Lemon vinaigrette
Blend up lemon with simple ingredients that I have in my pantry! And, voila, I now have the most perfect salad dressing or a simple marinade.
I have used this vinaigrette to flavor my spinach salad and it turned out so good. The vitamin C in the lemon is perfect for absorbing the iron in the spinach salad.
3. Lemon feta fries
Just like everyone else, I am a huge fan of fries! If I see waffle fries anywhere, I will immediately make a beeline for it.
So, when I saw this lemon feta fries recipe by Entirely Elizabeth, I knew I had to make it immediately. It has 3 of my favorites: fries, lemons and feta cheese!
This will be a fun party food to serve for game day gathering or Father’s Day parties.
Have you tried whipping up feta cheese?
4. Lemon artichoke pasta
Here is a hearty and easy family dinner! I am so mesmerized by this artichoke pasta bowl. It looks like something I would get at a 5 star Italian restaurant! Savory lemon recipes don’t get any better than this.
I love how Veggies Save The Day made this dinner. It’s packed with nutrient dense ingredients like artichokes and capers! These two ingredients are so important for the gut!
If you don’t want to use regular pasta you can use (Affiliate Link) chickpea pasta. I have used it in a penne and grilled veggie pasta dish that turned out very good.
5. Lemon Focaccia
My jaw dropped when I first saw this lemon focaccia recipe by Coley Cooks! It’s one-of-a-kind bread that tastes so unique!
This focaccia would be great for Mother’s Day brunch gatherings or for any special occasion. It would taste really great with soup too.
So, how will you use this focaccia bread?

6. Lemony Mediterranean Cucumber Salad
Whenever I am in the mood for a big salad, I make this hearty salad recipe by Veggie Fun Kitchen! It’s made with all hearty and nutritious ingredients!
This is a great meal by itself, but it would be great as a side dish too. I like that she made this recipe using every day ingredients. It is also great for meal prep, so I can have it ready when I know it’s going to be a busy day.
But, it’s her dressing that has me jumping with joy! She put za’atar in her vinaigrette!!! How cool is that!
Have you tried my spicy cucumber salad?
7. Lemony shaved asparagus salad
I am falling in love with asparagus all over again! After eating this shaved asparagus and tomato salad recipe by Running To The KItchen, I feel like asparagus is the most perfect veggie.
It’s not just a pretty salad, it’s also has nutrition. The ingredients are topped with fresh lemon juice which is going to be great for the absorption of the iron in this recipe.
I think the lemon is my favorite part of this recipe because it brings out the natural flavors of asparagus and tomatoes. It’s a great light lunch or a quick side dish.

8. Lemon garlic roasted cauliflower
If you know me, you know that I love cauliflower way too much and it shows. I have a huge collection of the best cauliflower recipes, so I immediately bookmarked this recipe by The Crumby Kitchen.
This is such an easy way to get my cauliflower fix, but it’s the lemon that makes this recipe so unique. Cauliflower is notoriously bland, so that makes it easy to flavor with strong ingredients like tangy lemon.
Lemon is also instrumental in helping absorb the nutrition in cauliflower. The folates in it are easier to absorb because of the strong vitamin C in lemons.

9. Lemon beet hummus
I think I would stare at this hummus for a long time because the colors are so captivating! This wonderful recipe is the brain child of One Sweet Harmony.
Beet hummus tastes great by itself, but it’s the lemon that takes it to the next level! Beet has a very earthy taste, so lemon’s tang equalizes the flavors and makes it taste more flavorful.
I made a big batch of this hummus and used it as a sandwich spread. It made my sandwiches taste heavenly!
Not surprisingly, I eat with my eyes first! I like my hummus to be colorful like this green parsley hummus.
10. Lemon baked ricotta with herbs
I bet you are wishing you had a baguette piece right now and be able to reach through your screen to dip it into this baked ricotta! This is a super easy dip that is great for any occasion.
One Hot Oven has blended fresh herbs with lemon which is super impressive. I bet the aromas that come of my oven will be intoxicating (in a good way!).
This is one of those recipes that would be great for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Thanksgiving, game day parties and just because it’s Tuesday!.
I like to using Organic Valley’s ricotta because they don’t use animal rennet in it. It makes lasagna and grape crostinis taste so very delicious.
